Managing Sites & Publishing

Connect your existing websites to penr.ai to automate the delivery of your content.

Connecting Your Sites

penr.ai acts as a central hub for all your properties. You can connect multiple sites across different platforms.

Supported Platforms

WordPress

  • Connect using Application Passwords
  • Supports Yoast SEO meta tags automatically
  • Download the penr.ai plugin for enhanced integration

OctoberCMS

  • Connect using the dedicated penr.ai plugin
  • Token-based authentication
  • Download the plugin from the connection page

Webflow

  • Connect using a V2 API Token
  • Requires Site ID and Collection ID
  • Map your collection fields during setup

PayloadCMS

  • Connect using REST API with API Key
  • Full content management support
  • Auth Collection (optional): defaults to users (most Payload installs). Set to admins or a custom collection if your Payload setup holds the API-Key elsewhere. The Authorization header becomes {authCollection} API-Key {key}. If connection fails, this is usually the cause.

Connection Steps

  1. Navigate to Sites > Connect
  2. Select your CMS platform
  3. Enter the required credentials:
    • Site name
    • Site URL
    • Platform-specific authentication
  4. Click Test Connection to verify
  5. Save the site configuration

Site Settings

Each connected site can have custom settings that override your global defaults:

AI Generation Settings

  • Default Language: Override global language setting
  • Default Tone: Override global tone setting
  • Site-specific Brand Voice: Custom brand voice for this site
  • Custom Image Prompt: Site-specific image generation prompt
  • Sitemap URL: link an XML sitemap so the AI knows which pages already exist on this site. During generation the system uses this to:
    1. Avoid duplicating content on topics you already cover
    2. Suggest internal links to existing pages
    3. Position new articles as complementary to what's already online Tip: for WordPress this is usually https://your-site.com/sitemap_index.xml or /sitemap.xml.

Google Search Console Integration

Link your site to Google Search Console for performance tracking:

  1. First, connect your Google account in Settings > Google Integration
  2. Open your site's settings
  3. Select the corresponding GSC property from the dropdown
  4. Search and filter properties if you have many

Once connected, you'll see real-time performance data in the content editor's Performance tab.
